You must be storing something?
In this app, no messages or personal details are stored in a database or in system logs.
We do store your user Id, Slack's access token (for our app) along with the team Id it can be used, it's authorized so the app can interact with Slack's API for you. When connecting the app to Slack you are presented with a screen that explains this and what it is for.
You can disconnect the app from Slack at anytime and that invalidates the token we've stored.
Other's follow GDPR and CCPA and stuff, what makes you different?
It's easy for a company to say they are complient and not doing it, but we will be making the code open source for others to inspect, use and (hopefully) improve.
I want my account to be removed!
You've revoked your token, but you still want that row in our database that represents you removed? OK! As we are proud of repeating, we store nothing that can identify you, which makes deleting that database row a little tricky.
For that database row in to be deleted you must email us at dopo+forgetme@sonictrio.com, with the subject "forget me", and you need to provide the following, your Slack user Id and the team Id of the workspace you are using AND when you signed up and started using Dopo. Once we recieve this information we can delete it.
Still concerned?
If you want to know more, or need some more confidence about our approach, or confirm access has been revoked then please contact us at dopo+privacy@sonictrio.com.
